Montgomery is a riverside community in northwest Calgary, bounded by the Bow River to the south and west and Shaganappi Trail to the east. Renamed in 1943 after Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, it was a separate town and village before joining Calgary in 1963.
Residents enjoy the Bow River pathway, quick access to Market Mall, the Alberta Children's Hospital, the Foothills Medical Centre and the University of Calgary, and easy routes downtown and west to the mountains via 16 Avenue.
